A mutual proposal planned for an equal partnership…
Having been together for twelve years already before deciding to become engaged, this wasn’t the big romantic surprise of the movies. In fact, marriage had been on Marc and Julie’s minds for a few years, but they couldn’t figure out how to make it right for them. When they finally settled on a destination elopement, they decided to formally get engaged on their upcoming trip to Italy.
But of course, as supporters and promoters of gender equality, they couldn’t do it the traditional way, with the man getting down on one knee to propose to the woman. So they wrote their proposals to each other in private, all the while planning their mutual proposal together!
